We love Atlanta.
Like, REALLY love Atlanta.

Here are some of our favorite spots for a bite, a coffee a drink or a bit of vinyl.

Tacos

El Progresso:

hole in the wall taco spot near the Federal pen in South Atlanta. Epic authentic tacos best eaten on site

Muchacho:

Super quick, casual taco spot right off the beltline. Margs and coffee as well!

El Tesoro:

This one is a regular for us. Traditional taqueria food from many regions of Mexico. The menu ranges from classic items to more regional ones that you don’t normally see here. They do great brunch too.

Bell Street Burritos:

Voted best burrito in Atlanta! Great price for the area as well.

Guac y Margys:

The taco menu here changes daily which we love. Great drink menu as well with a bunch of margaritas and other options!

Other Food

Poke Burri:

Another regular spot for us, this is a great poke spot in East Atlanta Village. It’s part of a group of restaurants in the same building called We Suki Suki that’s full of many other tasty take out restaurants as well.

Wonderkid:

This one is a bit of a sit down experience, as it’s part of a new area called the Atlanta Dairies. There’s a crisp cold brew place, as well as Three Taverns Imaginarium and the new AEG venue, the Eastern, all across the lawn from each other.

Recess:

Yummy lunch spot located in Krog Street Market! This is a great place to pick up lunch if you don’t want to be in a mid-session food coma after.

Lottafrutta:

This is a small and creative restaurant located right down the street from us! Their melts are some of our favorites, and they have a wide range of smoothies and fruit cups for a well-balanced, satisfying lunch.

Home Grown:

This is a long-time local brunch spot located just a few blocks from Maze. Their brunch is definitely worth the wait if you want to have a sit-down meal, though they also have pick up if you want to just stop by!

Gaja Korean Bar:

Another great place for a sit-down meal, this spot is in the middle of East Atlanta Village. A literal hole in the wall, as you go through a bit of a secret door that opens up to a high-ceilinged, trendy spot!

Drinks

Ju-C Bar:

Healthy spot in Krog Street Market that has tasty açai bowls as well as smoothies, sandwiches and more!

97 Estoria:

Most localist bar in the neighborhood, easily walkable from the studio. Bar food available too.

Three Taverns Imaginarium:

Newer of the two Three Taverns location, this is the brewery located right next to Wonderkid. Chill lawn to hang out on and great spot to wait for a show to start at the Eastern!

The Midway Pub:

Very chill spot in East Atlanta Village with a wide range of beers, wines and mixed drinks as well as food! They project games sometimes but for the most part it’s a great place in EAV to be in a bar scene where you can hear everyone at your table.

Trophy Room:

This is the upstairs bar connected to Flatiron, right down the street from Midway. Slightly less chill bar, but there’s a bunch of games, including darts and pool, and a great list of drinks and beers!

Coffee

Chrome Yellow:

This is most likely what you’ll be drinking while you’re at Maze! We love their Point Counter Point blend. There’s also a wide range of pastries and a very chill, open vibe of people working inside.

Park Grounds:

This is right down the street from Maze! Super cute coffee shop with great coffee, sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, and a dog park in the back. Great for taking a break and dog watching!

Hodgepodge:

Right across the street from a drive-thru Dunkin on Moreland that’s always insanely crowded, this place is way, way better! They have a list of specialties that change seasonally, though I highly recommend their honey oat milk latte. Tastes like a cloud.

Cold Brew Bar at Atlanta Dairies:

This is right in between Wonderkid and Three Taverns Imaginarium! Really well done cold brew, well seasoned avocado toast, and specialty matcha cold brew that’s a personal favorite.

Gilly Brew Bar:

This is a little farther away in Stone Mountain, but is such a cool spot that it’s definitely worth mentioning. Their specialty is fourth-wave elixirs that are described as disrupting third-wave coffee in the best way possible.

Neighborhoods

Reynoldstown:

This is where Maze is! There are a bunch of local airbnb’s that artists have stayed at during their time with us and have loved. The Atlanta Beltline runs right through Reynoldstown, from Wylie near Flat Shoals to Memorial Drive at Bill Kennedy Way.

Cabbagetown:

This is the neighborhood that you come upon once you hit the Krog Street Tunnel. There’s a bunch of shopping and food in this area, as well as local events and shows.

East Atlanta Village:

Many beloved restaurants and venues in this area. You can find many local shows here, as well as jazz jams and bars!

Old Fourth Ward:

This is where you’ll find Ponce City Market, which is a huge hub of restaurants and shopping, as well as a rooftop bar with carnival games and a view of the city. There are many parks around here as well, and it’s also located very close to the Beltline.

Edgewood:

This is where you’ll find a wide range of bars and parks. There are always local events happening in this area. This is also another great place with local food and coffee, and is also where Chrome Yellow is located.

Bikes

HOPR:

This is a local bike share where you can rent a bike off of the street or from one of their locations, and works through an app similar to Bird or Uber

Loose Nuts Cycle:

Destination shop full of bikes and repairs. Here to make sure your ride is the most comfortable and most enjoyable it can be.

Atlanta Bicycle Barn:

Traditional and e-bikes are for sale or rent here! You can sell used bikes here as well. Due to demand, you’ll want to call ahead for rentals to check availability.

Outback Bikes:

Friendly, no pressure environment for city bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes. Servicing is done here as well.

Atlanta Pro Bikes:

They carry a full line of bicycles, outfitting everyone from the beginner to the advanced rider. Their staff is friendly and educated, with a ton of experience.

Vinyl

Criminal Records:

A staple of Atlanta based in Little Five Points. There’s a wide range of new and old vinyl here, as well as occasional live performances and signings by local and non-local artists

Wuxtry Records:

Located in Decatur as well as in Athens, Georgia. They have supplied in Georgia for over 35 years. They’re a walk-in museum of the greatest music and bands of the last century as well as many new and contemporary artists from the last 10 years.

Beatlab:

This is a record store as well as an instrumental, production, and DJ supply store. There’s a wide range of gear and vinyl here, and is definitely worth a trip!

Fantasyland Records:

Since 1976, this store buys, sells, and trades. They carry the city’s finest selection of used records, cds & tapes. They carry all genres, from the 1950s thru current day.

Wax ‘N’ Facts:

Also established in 1976, this has been a mainstay of the Little 5 Points neighborhood ever since. There’s an outstanding array of used and new vinyl here as well as CDs, cassettes and other merch.
